Payzeno ("we", "Payzeno") respects your privacy. This Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and your rights when you use our website, merchant dashboard, API, checkout and communications with us.

  • Merchant account: name, email, phone, country, profile and company data.
  • Verification (KYC): identification documents and information required for compliance.
  • Transactions: amounts, references, payment status, method used and technical metadata (IP, user-agent where relevant).
  • Technical: API logs, webhooks, session cookies on the website and application.
  • Communications: messages sent via contact form or support.

  • Provide and improve the payment service and dashboard.
  • Process payments, withdrawals and webhook notifications.
  • Meet legal, anti-fraud and identity verification obligations.
  • Communicate updates, security and support.
  • Analyse aggregated usage for reliability and performance (without selling personal data).

044. Legal basis

We process data based on contract performance (providing the Service), legitimate interest (security, product improvement), consent (where applicable, e.g. marketing) and legal obligation (KYC, applicable financial regulation).

055. Sharing with third parties

  • Payment operators (M-Pesa, e-Mola, card processors, etc.) to execute transactions.
  • Infrastructure providers (hosting, email, storage) under confidentiality agreements.
  • Authorities when required by law or court order.

We do not sell personal data to third parties for marketing.

We retain data while the account is active and for the period necessary for legal, accounting and dispute resolution obligations. KYC documents and transaction records may be kept for longer periods when required by law.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: HTTPS, access control, environment segregation, two-factor authentication (when enabled) and monitoring of suspicious activity. No system is 100% secure; notify us of incidents at ola@payzeno.io.

On the website payzeno.io you can manage preferences through the cookie notice or the "Cookies" link in the footer.

  • Essential: required for site operation and security, including recording your consent choice (stored locally in the browser).
  • Analytics: optional — only enabled if you accept in the banner. Used to measure visits and improve the site in aggregate.

The merchant application (app.payzeno.io) and checkout use separate session cookies, required for authentication and payment. You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Cookies" in the footer.
